2025 ARRL Field Day is June 28 - 29

The club will be operating Field Day at our historical Mormon Emigrant Trail location.  What that means is that overnight camping is encouraged.  The location is at 6,600ft and you will need to bring everything to enjoy the weekend.  We have space to setup several HF stations.  You can use the trees for antenna supports.  If you plan on using an outdoor stove or grill for cooking, you will need a fire permit from here https://readyforwildfire.org/permits/

The Field Day Site is approximately 23 miles from Pollock Pines. From HWY 50 take Sly Park Road south. Turn left on Mormon Emigrant Trail (AKA County Road 16 or NF Road 5). Then drive approximately 17.3 miles straight to the site. Look for our signs.
Location: N38° 40'05.20", W120° 17'32.97"

The object of the ARRL Field Day is to work as many stations as possible on any and all amateur bands (excluding the 60, 30, 17, and 12-meter bands) and in doing so to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions. A premium is placed on developing skills to meet the challenges of emergency preparedness as well as to acquaint the general public with the capabilities of Amateur Radio.
